Why Rabbit and Worm Poop?
We started with rabbit and worm manure because that is what we had readily available. Another huge benefit to these types of manure is that they are easy to collect and store without turning a house into a barn! Rabbit manure, once dry, has almost no scent at all. Worm castings (manure) smell just like dirt. Mealworm castings have a dusty odor. All of these come in formats that are easy to apply, no mixing or composting required.

The additional benefits of these three types of manure is their N-P-K content as compared to others.

A quick comparison of natural fertilizer N-P-K values:

Mealworm Manure: 2.5 - 1.9 - 2.5
Pig Manure: 0.8 - 0.7 - 0.5

Note: the stated concentrations for organic fertilizers will always be lower than chemical fertilizers because, by law, only nutrients immediately available can be counted. Organic fertilizer keeps working for the long term to improve soil consistency, nutrition, and to promote healthy soil ecology.
